sina is based on an analysis of the present situation in hospitals.
A huge amount of data about the patients has to be stored everyday. Therefore a change to digital medias from the present paper based ones has to come. sina uses digital medias to transfer the daily work routines of the hospital personel from the paper based media to a mobile device.
This gives the doctors and nurses the possibility to work mobile and directly at the patient, which isn’t the

case at the moment. We used the informations, suggestions and whishes of the personel to create a new way to access the data, never forgetting that the we have to create a reliable interface.
We focused on four areas of the present hospital work:
- station overview
- nursery records used mobile
- a view to analyzing the nursing time
- a screen which shows the medication

All the modules are accessible through a graphical interface which is usable on a future based mobile device we “created”. The system is extendible so you can gather all the data needed about a patient on one device with one graphical interface.

Nokia frame was a project initialised by Nokia themselve. They wanted us to find a new way to show their “nokianess”. We thought about new ways a phone could be used and how to connect the people. The frame opens a “window” to a world you share things with friends and family.

We had to create an interactive flash based installation in which we should give the user the possibilty to see two different views of a story. We achieved this by letting the user swap perspective by twisting a coconut (representing the top of a skull). This and the look onto the floor should give the user the feeling of looking down onto the thoughts, happening inside the head of the two persons. The task was to create something you could interact with in a physical way, and at the same time learn Max/Msp. I tried to use the Wii-Mote as interactive device which allows the user to play certain sounds with certain movements and change things like the pitch of the sounds. As basis I used the aka wii-remote object.

During my exchange Semester at the Designskolen Kolding (Denmark), I had the opportunity to take part in an external workshop. This workshop, taking place in Veile, should give us the possibility to try things with light. Philipp’s gave us some programmable LED lights and we thought about what to create (with a limited budget ). It was fun to play around with something like this.

This project was about a concept of a multitouch operated laptop. Having no keys, only multitouch screens we had to think about different ways of interacting with the device.

In this project, we had to plan, structure and fill an exhibition. As subject we chose “the swarm”. Breaking the topic down into 3 subareas: air (birds), earth (ants) and water (fishes). Planing the exhibition with a no limit budget at first, ended in a complete new building. Later on we were told to simplify it so it could be used as a touring exhibition too.

As the multitouch technique is omnipresent, a workshop was offered in the workshop week, to build a multitouch-table. This gave us the opportunity to get a peek behind the new technique, and also provided us and other students with the possibility to try out new ideas with this tool

The target of the project was to develop a picture browser. In our case we wanted to give the user the possibility to get a fast overview over certain topics with the chance to chose from different colors. The Idea we started with was kind of “fish-eye” effect browser. Later on we got to a more simple version. The 2 versions you can try out online show the functionality we wanted to achieve though theres still much room to expand and improve.
